In Parkhill’s vocational training program, students have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including customer service, retail sales, animal care, plant operations, child care and food service.
Students who are seeking to enter the work force post-graduation are eligible to participate in one of Parkhill’s vocational training programs funded through The Department of Rehabilitation and The State Department of Education. The Workability Program offers high school students opportunities to gain valuable vocational training through enriched curriculum, career awareness and exploration, pre-employment skills training and work experiences. Students 16 and older may be eligible to participate in a paid work placement in local area businesses. Vocational assessment, guidance and support are all provided through the Workability Program to assist students in developing the skills necessary for competitive employment and successful outcomes.
